Residents hooked on Urban Poling

A group of ladies with the Okotoks Public Library’s urban poling walking groups walk along Sheep River.

McEarchern said she was hooked on urban pole walking in just one day. Although it was difficult to get use to the movements in the beginning, she got the hand of it in a few minutes and in an hour got other members organized to walk two days later.

“We’ve only know each other for an hour and we’ve organized the next social event”
