We are proud to collaborate with our partner, VeDA (Vestibular Disorders Association), in raising awareness about vestibular disorders and to promote Balance Awareness Week from September 15 to 21st. It’s a time to highlight the importance of balance health and empower those affected to find the support and tools they need.

Das vestibuläre System, das sich im Innenohr befindet, spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Aufrechterhaltung des Gleichgewichts und der räumlichen Orientierung. Wenn es nicht richtig funktioniert, können Symptome wie Schwindel, Unausgeglichenheit und räumliche Desorientierung auftreten. Störungen des Gleichgewichtsorgans können die Aktivitäten des täglichen Lebens erheblich beeinträchtigen und zu eingeschränkter Mobilität, erhöhtem Sturzrisiko und verminderter Lebensqualität führen.

VeDa widmet sich der Unterstützung, Aufklärung und Interessenvertretung von Menschen, die von Gleichgewichtsstörungen betroffen sind, und möchte Patienten, Betreuern und medizinischen Fachkräften die Ressourcen an die Hand geben, die sie benötigen, um die Herausforderungen des täglichen Lebens mit Gleichgewichtsstörungen zu bewältigen.
