We are pleased to announce our partnership with VeDa to support Steps-2-Balance (S2B) week, which will run from May 17th to 23rd. This annual event encourages people living with vestibular conditions, along with their families and healthcare professionals, to participate in activities that promote better balance and overall well-being. S2B serves as a valuable platform where vestibular clinicians, support groups, researchers, and industry partners can make meaningful contributions to recovery efforts and strengthen community connections. VeDa offers guidance, education, and advocacy for those affected by vestibular disorders, providing resources to assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals in managing these challenges day-to-day.
The vestibular system, located within the inner ear, plays a crucial role in maintaining balance and spatial orientation. If it’s not working properly, individuals can experience symptoms such as dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, and spatial disorientation. Vestibular disorders can significantly affect daily living activities and can lead to reduced mobility, increased risk of falls and diminished quality of life.
Activator® poles are designed to assist those with balance and stability challenges, offering improved posture, upper body engagement, and confidence in mobility, especially for individuals with vestibular disorders. With ergonomic handles and bell tips for full-body movement, they provide four points of contact instead of two and can help support better mobility and vestibular health.
Join us as we celebrate Steps-2-Balance Awareness Week to improve the lives of those affected by vestibular disorders through better mobility. By raising awareness, providing support, and offering innovative mobility solutions like Activator® poles, we can empower individuals to walk confidently towards a brighter and more balanced future. Let’s start by taking a first steady step towards greater awareness, understanding, and support for vestibular health during Steps-2-Balance Awareness Week and beyond!
