CARP is a national, non-partisan, non-profit organization that advocates for financial security and improved health care for Canadians as we age. The MFN believes that exercise is valuable for those with chronic health & medical conditions. Developing a plan for a regular exercise & wellness program can be difficult for these people; The MFN mission is to improve the quality of life for those with chronic disease, medical conditions, have disabilities or who need pre or postnatal care help by connecting them to fitness & healthcare professionals with an interest and background in the treatment and rehabilitation of various diseases and medical conditions.


CVF logo The Canadian Volkssport Federation consists of 34 walking clubs across Canada who promote walking for fun, friendship, and fitness.  The clubs have volunteers who lead group walks locally and set up walking routes for individuals to complete on their own.  Walking routes have been set up in all provinces and territories.  Achievement awards are earned for accumulated walking distances and participation in a variety of different walking programs.  The Canadian Volkssport Federation is a member of the IVV – an international organization with walking groups in over 50 different countries.  Every second year, a national walking convention is held.  Next May, the convention will be held in Langley, B.C. Urban Poling is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the CVF/FCV Langley Convention.






Winter Poling

When walking on snow covered surfaces, remove the rubber tips to expose the carbide tip which will provide better traction.  Add snow baskets to prevent the poles from sinking deep into the snow.
