The Urban Poling Course for Rehabilitation & Wellness Professionals provides in-depth training to therapists, fitness trainers and healthcare professionals. It teaches them how to use the Activator poles as an effective tool for rehabilitation for those individuals with chronic conditions and those recovering from injuries and as an assistive walking device for older adults who require more stability and balance. The course covers an overview of the research on the use of walking poles, provides assessment tools, followed by practical sessions that teach the basic Activator technique, balance and strength exercises with the Activator poles and modified techniques for clients with chronic conditions and less active older adults.
